Karen Gillan, who is most well-known for starring as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Amy Pond in Doctor Who, shared a special update with fans on Nov. 23 that included rare photos of her baby daughter, Clementine.
The actress began her new post on Instagram with a sweet message in celebration of Clementine's first birthday, writing, "Happy first birthday to my little Clementine. I had the best year of my life introducing this wee lassie to the world and now it’s time to get back to work."
"Work life looks a little different these days but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love dashing back to my trailer to see her in between shots and having her on set," Gillan went on. "Thank you Clementine for spending your birthday with Ruby Roundhouse! Party time soon! 🎂."
Gillan included three photos of her daughter, likely taken within the last few days, as they show Clementine with her mother on the set of the next Jumanji movie, which just kicked off production.
In the first snap, Gillan held her daughter in what looked to be a trailer, with a baby crib visible behind her. In both the first and third photos, Gillan was dressed in her character Ruby Roundhouse's costume, ready to go film at any moment. The second picture showed Clementine enjoying the view on set from her mother's chair, looking quite comfortable.

Fans joined in to celebrate the special occasion, writing things like, "Happy Birthday to your darling Clementine! 🎂🥳🎉," and "aw I love this! happiest of birthdays 🎂 amazing to see 💙."
"Aww, happy first birthday Clementine! And can't wait to see Ruby Roundhouse kicking butt again!" wrote a third fan, also sharing their excitement that the new Jumanji film was officially on its way.

One person who missed Gillan's original baby announcement a year ago said, "Girl never knew about this!! Congrats❤️."
Gillan welcomed Clementine in late 2024, and she shares her daughter with her husband, Nick Kocher. The actress is quite private about her daughter and doesn't often share updates or photos, making her latest post a rare treat for fans.
