Charli XCX's life has been a blur since her ascendance to pop superstardom. And now, she's taken that life experience and turned it into an A24 film.

The studio dropped the first teaser trailer for *The Moment* on Thursday, with promises that the movie captures a rising star's hectic and sometimes confounding day-to-day as she builds to her arena tour debut.

The audience sees the "Brat" singer being shuffled from place to place: concert rehearsals and the *Late Show with Stephen Colbert*, for starters.

"Nothing is more important than *Brat*," she tells the late-night talk show host.

She was, of course, alluding to her 2024 album that sold millions of copies, was nominated for album of the year at the 2025 Grammys, and spawned a cultural moment. The idea of a "Brat summer" went viral, and "brat" was declared the word of the year by the Collins Dictionary.

As Charli told Colbert, she didn't intend to make it a Brat world: "It just kind of happened."*****The Moment *audience will see the music star working on a tour. In one scene, a mannequin shatters to the ground, and she asks if it's supposed to represent her. It is.

*The Moment'*s* *official synopsis is: "A rising pop star navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut."

The film is directed by Aidan Zamiri and written by Aidan Zamiri and Bertie Brandes. Charli XCX produces, along with David Hinojosa.

In addition to the artist, the movie stars Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Hailey Benton Gates, Isaac Powell, and Alexander Skarsgård.**

Just this week, the "Girl, So Confusing" singer also dropped new music, a song called "Chains of Love." The track is from her upcoming album, *Wuthering Heights*, which is set for a Feb. 16 release. It's inspired by director Emerald Fennell's upcoming movie of the same name, based on the classic story from Emily Brontë.**

*The Moment* arrives in theaters Jan. 30.**
