Fans are absolutely obsessed with Danny DeVito's work after the beloved actor was spotted zooming through the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, N.J., on Friday, Nov. 21, on a haphazardly steered motorized scooter.

The Matilda legend was present for this year's New Jersey Hall of Fame induction, which included the Jonas Brothers, The Isley Brothers, and Bon Jovi's keyboardist, David Bryan, among over a dozen others.

DeVito Stole the Show as He Nearly Bowled Over Members of the Crowd With His Mobility Aid

Several folks in attendance captured footage of him flying through the halls of the mall in clips that have since gone viral on TikTok.

In one, the uploader joked that she was "almost...run over by Danny Devito," who was trucking towards a small group of folks in a banquet hall.

“’Scuse me!” he shouted from afar as he approached the group, weaving the handlebars back and forth while swerving by. “Crazy driver, New Jersey driver!” he explained loudly, leaving the voice behind the camera in shock.

Fans couldn't believe the good fortune of those present, with one admitting, "You almost got run over by Danny Divito [sic] on a scooter. I’d brag about this for the rest of my life."

"It’s literally my new two truths and a lie 🤣," the uploader, named Dana, agreed.

"I’d add this to my resume," another fan suggested.

“'new jersey driva' 😂😭," someone else giggled in response to DeVito's warning.

In another clip, he encouraged fans seated in rows of chairs to "watch out!" as he came careening around a corner.

"You can tell Danny is from NJ by the way he drives that thing," one fan joked, while another exclaimed, "Look at him go!!!"

"I haven't actually seen a view of him stopping😂😂," someone else said, while the uploader, named Crystal, affirmed, "Nope! 😂😂 He was just speeding through."

"Can attest he almost came for me too 😂," someone else shared.

The Taxi Alum Is an Inductee Himself

DeVito was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame back in 2010, telling the crowd in attendance to see his induction, “New Jersey is not a place you leave behind. It’s with you every step of the way.”
