ââGhostbusters,â I was supposed to do âGhostbusters,'â Murphy recalled. âDidnât do that, and âRush Hour.â Didnât do that. Oh, and âWho Framed Roger Rabbit.â Those are my big three âwish I would have doneâ movies.â
Murphy explained that the reason he wished he had joined those projects is that they were all âhuge, giant hits.â However, he doesnât hold too much regret. The âShrekâ star explained that because he turned down the role in âGhostbusters,â he landed the part of Axel Foley in âBeverly Hills Cop.â

In the doc, he reflected on feeling betrayed by âSaturday Night Live,â which called him a âfalling starâ during a segment targeting the poor reception of his 1995 horror comedy âVampire in Brooklyn.â Murphy, who appeared on âSNLâ from 1980 to 1984, felt like his âalma materâ took a shot at him.
âI was like, hurt,â Murphy said in the doc. âMy feelings was hurt. Iâm from the same⊠Itâs like your alma mater taking a shot at you â at my career, not how funny I was, calling me âa falling star.â If there was a joke like that right now, and it was about some other âSNLâ cast member, and it was about how fucked up their career was, it would get shot down.â
