Joe Jonas has the best "I told you so" to deliver to the record company executive who doubted his "Single Ladies" parody video.
"I was told by a label head that this would be the worst idea, and it would ruin our career," Joe reveals to Entertainment Weekly. "Check the numbers on that video, sir."
The Jonas Brothers originally released the hilarious spoof on YouTube in 2009, starring Joe in full costume attempting to recreate Beyoncé's iconic music video — although his dance moves were more like flailing than actual choreography, if we're being honest. (Sorry, Joe!)

The stunt came about after Joe "lost a bet" to his brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, who also appear in the video, and fans voted on Joe's punishment. The video was later released to help promote their album, Lines, Vines, and Trying Times, and has over 33 million views (and counting).
"It was something that we kind of just did for fun," Joe remembers. "We were just being ridiculous, and the fans seemed to really enjoy it and thought it was silly."
Joe admits he didn't have enough preparation before filming the music video — or any at all, really.
"It was the first time I ever saw the video," he says. "So I watched the video, and then tried to mimic the icon Beyoncé's dancing, and I obviously could not keep up. I think it's probably a zero, on a zero out of 10 [scale], but luckily I think it's all in fun."
