Fátima Bosch is breaking her silence on her Miss Universe win.
The Miss Mexico winner briefly reflected on her victory on Friday, crediting a higher power for her good fortune.
"Today I reaffirmed that what God has destined for you, neither envy stops it, nor destiny foils it, nor luck changes it," she wrote in an Instagram post, translated from Spanish. "Long live Christ the King."
She also shared a video on Saturday morning celebrating her new responsibilities as Miss Universe. "First day at work ⭐️💫," she wrote in the caption for the clip, which showed her gleefully displaying her tiara and sash at a photo shoot in a bedroom.
Bosch found herself at the heart of a controversy during the lead-up to the worldwide pageant. On Nov. 4, Nawat Itsaragrisil, a Thai TV personality who served as the executive director of the Miss Universe Organization, berated Bosch during a livestream of a pre-pageant event.
During his tirade, Itsaragrisil claimed that Bosch eschewed mandatory promotional responsibilities for the host country, interrupting the model as she attempted to explain her side of the story and at one point calling her a "dummy."
But Bosch stood her ground after his dismissal. "I have a voice," she told the exec. "You are not respecting me as a woman."
In an interview after the confrontation, Bosch addressed the conflict head-on. "Your director is not respectful: He called me dumb because he has problems with the organization," she said. "I think that's not fair, because I am here. I do everything okay. I don't mess with anyone."
She continued, "I just try to be kind. I think that the world needs to see this because we are empowered women, and this is a platform for our voice."

Itsaragrisil apologized for the incident on multiple occasions. "If anyone [was] feeling not good, if anyone [was] not comfortable, if anyone [was affected], I do apologize to everyone," he said in a video shared on social media.
At a press conference he added, "I am human. I didn't want to do anything like that," reported *USA Today*.
Miss Universe President Raúl Rocha later announced that Itsaragrisil's participation in the pageant would be "restricted" this year.
"I will not allow the values of respect and dignity towards women to be violated," Rocha said. "[I have] great indignation towards Nawat for the public aggression he committed against Fátima Bosch, Miss Universe Mexico, whom he humiliated, insulted, and showed lack of respect to."

The 2025 pageant was overshadowed by further controversy after a judge resigned from the jury a few days before the competition officially began.
Composer Omar Harfouch stepped down from his judging post after claiming that an "impromptu jury" chose the 30 finalists rather than the eight official judges. He later alleged that the finalists were selected by "individuals with a significant potential conflict of interest due to some personal relationships with some of the Miss Universe contestants, including the person responsible for counting the votes and managing the results, which constitutes a further conflict of interest."

The MUO denied Harfouch's accusations in a statement on social media, claiming the organization continues "to follow the established, transparent, and supervised MUO protocols."
Bosch ultimately took the Miss Universe crown on Thursday, making her the fourth Mexican winner in the pageant's history.**
