Marina Squerciati got fans of Chicago P.D. all riled up after enjoying a night on the town with her absentee co-star, Patrick Flueger.
The onscreen couple joined a small handful of friends for a trip to the opera amid his hiatus from Season 13 of the NBC series, and viewers were thrilled for the glimpse the actress shared in a new photo on Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 23.
"A beautiful night at the Lyric Opera with my beautiful friends," she captioned the joy-filled photo, encouraging her fans, "GO SEE LIVE PERFORMANCES, IT IS WORTH IT!"
The group was in attendance for a performance of A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness, a collaboration between Smashing Pumpkins' frontman Billy Corgan and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
It was a black tie affair, with Squerciati draped in a sleek black spaghetti-strap dress and Flueger looking dapper in a tux, while their other friends were also dressed to impress.

Flueger's 'Sharp' Tuxedo Was the Talk of the Comment Section
Fans were relieved to see the actor in good spirits amid his hiatus from the beloved procedural show, with several gushing over how good he looked in his suit.
"Awesome photo! So happy to see Paddy ❤️❤️," one gushed, while another agreed, "Very good seeing Patrick."
"hope he's doing well," they added, crossing their fingers to see him go "back to Chicago PD."
"This is great seeing Patrick after his hiatus from TV," someone else reiterated. "I hope he's doing well I miss seeing him in action."
"So great seeing you and Paddy. Hope he’s doing well," another repeated.

The Actor Is on an Indefinite Hiatus From the Series
Flueger appeared at the start of the latest season, but has taken a step back from the show for "personal" reasons—an announcement made last month without a confirmed start or end date, though his absence from the last few episodes suggests it has begun.
When Taylor Kinney took his own leave of absence from Chicago Fire, he was gone for 10 months before ultimately returning to Firehouse 51. There's no word yet on whether Flueger will be back before the season's end.
Chicago P.D. returns on Jan. 7, 2026.
