The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is looking into a newly reported sexual battery allegation against Sean "Diddy" Combs.
News of the investigation, reported by ABC News and the , comes a little over a month after Combs, 56, was sentenced to several years in prison following a conviction on federal prostitution charges.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Office received a report detailing the alleged assault on Friday, Nov. 14, from the police department in Largo, Florida, where the alleged victim lives, ABC and the AP report.
"We received an official copy of the report," Deputy Alejandra Parra wrote in a statement to USA TODAY. "Special Victims Bureau will be investigating the allegations."

According to the outlets, the police report alleges that, in September, shortly after Combs received a mixed verdict in his criminal sex trafficking and racketeering case, a victim came forward to report the assault.
The alleged victim, a male music producer and publicist who is unnamed, claimed that in late 2020 he was asked to attend a photoshoot involving clothes that once belonged to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. According to the outlets, the victim alleges in the report that when he arrived at the Los Angeles warehouse, Combs exposed himself, instructed the man to perform a sex act, then threw a dirty shirt that once belonged Biggie at him.

In response to the new allegations, which follow a mountain of civil suits alleging sexual abuse filed in recent years against Combs, the music mogul's legal team called the claims "meritless."
"As Mr. Combs' legal team has repeatedly stated for over a year now, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a media circus. Let me make it absolutely clear, Mr. Combs categorically denies as false and defamatory all claims that he sexually abused anyone," Combs' civil attorney Jonathan Davis wrote in a statement to USA TODAY. "He looks forward to vindicating himself in court, where such matters are decided — and not in the media — based on admissible, material evidence, not rank speculation and unsubstantiated allegations."
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. The Grammy-winning rapper is set to be released June 4, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons' online database.
His prison time began months after a 12-person jury handed down a split verdict in July that acquitted Combs of the most serious charges in his federal trial, racketeering and sex trafficking. Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all charges brought against him.
