Tonight, Kate Middleton and Prince William will attend the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall. The performance fundraises for the Royal Variety Charity, which supports those in need who have worked in the entertainment industry.

The show dates back to 1912, when it was called the “Royal Command Performance” and held in the presence of King George V and Queen Mary. “There isn't a show in the history of show-business, nor indeed in the history of television, that compares to the Royal Variety Performance; the very best in entertainment from around the globe has been presented year after year since the first show in 1912,” King Charles said in 2020.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have attended just five times before; tonight will be their sixth. Here, take a look back at Kate’s Royal Variety style:

In 2023, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended alongside Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. For the occasion, Kate wore a teal Safiyaa gown, accessorized with J.Crew earrings, and carried a Jenny Packham clutch.
