Selena Gomez was nominated for a Grammy with husband Benny Blanco.

The couple’s song “Bluest Flame” was given the honor.

Gomez celebrated the moment on Instagram.

On Friday morning, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were nominated for a Grammy award in the Best Dance Pop Recording category. The honor went to their song “Bluest Flame” off of their first album together, I Said I Love You First.

The Only Murders in the Building star posted an Instagram Story celebrating the moment later that day. She shared a post from Billboard along with two “exploding head” emojis and a thanks to the Recording Academy.

In August, Blanco told Harper’s Bazaar that writing with Gomez was an easy process.

“You know, Selena makes it very easy to write songs about ’cause she’s the best,” Blanco said, though he added she’s not the subject of all his tracks. “Songs have multiple meanings. Sometimes I’ve written songs and people think it’s about a woman [I’m dating], but it’s really about my relationship with my mother.”

Though it was their first album, it was not the first time they had worked together on music. On the August 7 episode of Therapuss with Jake Shane, Gomez discussed meeting Blanco for the first time when she was 16, though they didn’t end up producing anything that year.

“I feel like he was an acquaintance, if that makes sense,” she said. “To be honest, we weren’t besties. I just thought he was nice, and then we did a few songs together. [We did] ‘Same Old Love,’ which was awesome, and we had a great time... nothing really there. And then [we did] ‘I Can’t Get Enough,’ which was with Tainy and J Balvin... didn’t get it there either. I just thought he was funny, but I didn’t think anything of it.”

The couple began dating in 2023 and got engaged in December 2024. They were married the last weekend in September 2025 in Montecito, California.
